Luc Santarelli is a French and European Patent Attorney.

He has a dual educational background: an engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique de Lausanne in 1978 in a wide range of engineering technologies with specialization in telecommunications, and a Masters in Law from University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas in 1988.

After a stint as a telecommunications engineer, Luc Santarelli trained and qualified at Cabinet Bonnet-Thirion before joining Rinuy, Santarelli in 1985 where he was specialised in patent infringement litigation.

He assists clients in crafting intellectual property strategies and handles patent infringement, patent oppositions, know-how misappropriation and patent ownership rights litigation and licensing operations. His clientele includes high tech start-ups and major corporations across a wide range of fields including telecommunications, electronics, software, semi-conductors, microtechnologies and the mechanical industry.

Luc Santarelli is a member of the FICPI, APEB, AIPPI, INTA and LES.

He also lectures in the course “patent litigation in Europe” held at the CEIPI at the Strasbourg University.
